Friends to the Death

Four schoolmates choose to stay in their local village to celebrate their 40th birthdays. A long weekend of socialising, eating, drinking and watching local bands is planned. It'd be best if the music is upbeat; anything mournful might encourage deep conversation, which isn't on anyone's agenda.

The group of friends need some merriment in their lives right now - no one knows what each of them is going through. Men rarely talk about their troubles.
